family history
I am a descendant of Jacobi James Jelbarte (died 1615) of Gulval in western Cornwall, England. The family is a very large one (there are over five thousand records on the main Jelbert Family database) and is spread all over the world - much of the family from Cornwall emigrated to Canada, America Australia, South Africa and beyond during the nineteenth century - as the family took its skills to help mining when the industry started in these regions. To find out more, please visit the Jelbert Family History Society website.
Below can be seen a somewhat simplified version of my Family Tree, showing only the direct blood-line between Jacobi and my grandmother (on my father's side) Irene.
My mother's maiden name has been obscured for security reasons.
