On the weekend of 30th/31st May 2009, I made 101 QSOs in the CW leg of the CQ WPX contest from my home QTH.
It was good to note that the higher bands seemed slightly more alive at last. I made 30 QSOs on 21 MHz and even 7 on 28MHz. On the other hand, I didn't manage to get any North American QSOs at all. A total of 28 DXCC entities were logged.
The operation on Sunday afternoon was from my garden as it was a beautiful day:
Amongst the QSOs, I was surprised to find that I had 2 hew band slots: UA2 on 80m and 4L on 15m. During the contest, I also passed the milestone of 6000 QSOs logged under my own callsign.
Equipment: IC-706Mk2G, Hustler 6-BTV antenna, 100W, logging with Win-Test 3.21.
I previously took part in this contest in 2007
